Why is the requirement being raised to 100 licenses?

As a part of the new Google for Work and Education Partner Program announced in December 2014, new benefits and requirements for Google for Work partners are being introduced. Raising the license requirement to become a partner in the new program helps ensure that our partners are set up to run a successful Google for Work partner business in the new program.

I have already submitted my application. What does this mean for me?

You can continue and complete your application process with the 25 licenses requirement until July 31st. If you sell and deploy 25 licenses on or by July 31, your application will be processed (processing may begin after August 1st). Starting August 1st, you will need to sell and deploy 100 licenses before your application to become a partner can be processed.

When do I need to meet the new requirement of selling 100 licenses?

Starting August 1st, if you haven’t completed selling and deploying 25 licenses, you will need to sell and deploy 100 licenses in order for your application to be processed.

What else is changing in the application process?

Nothing else is changing in the application process.

Where can I find more information about the program?

If you have read the FAQs above and still have questions, please feel free to check out the Apps application support section on GWC to post any questions you might have.

Are there alternatives for the Apps reseller program?

While you work toward the license requirements to become a Google for Work and Education partner, you have the option to join the Google Apps Referral Program and begin earning $15/user. Sign up is a simple one minute process (see here for the list of countries). There are no minimum requirements to participate in the Google Apps Referral Program and you will be able to continue in the Referral Program whether or not you are eligible for the Partner Program.
